The Nikon Monarch M5 10x42 Binoculars are an upgrade to the classic Nikon Monarch 10x42 ATB. They have more ergonomic rubber armoring that provides shock resistance and a more positive grip, better fitting lens covers, and a slightly wider field of view. These changes add about an ounce to their weight, but the added protection is well worth it. The M5 10x42 boasts 18.4mm of eye relief, which is excellent for this class of binocular. Close focus is 8.2' and field of view is 293' at 1000 yards (an improvement of 5 feet). They are fogproof and water proof down to 3.3' for 10 minutes.
