The Zeiss Conquest HDX 8x32 Binocular improves on the previous Conquest models by maximizing edge-to-edge resolution, light transmission, and color fidelity while minimizing chromatic aberrations, stray light, and coma. Ergonomically, the magnesium alloy chassis results in about a 3 ounce weight reduction, and the 1.3 revolutions between 4.9' close focus and infinity is maintained. People with close-set eyes will enjoy the minimum interpupillary distance of 54mm. Functionally, the eyecups have been improved, a locking diopter has been added. The rubber armoring is now resistant to sweat, insect repellent, sunscreen, and other chemicals, has a more grippy feel, and rounder edges. With the HDX models, the binoculars of the Conquest series can accept a tripod adapter in the front of the hinge. Conquest HDX binoculars are waterproof to 4 meters, nitrogen filled, and have LotuTec hydrophobic coatings on external lens surfaces.
Zeiss offers a Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty which protects you against defects in workmanship or materials for the life of the Product. If a defect that is covered by this Warranty is found, Carl Zeiss will, at its option and without charge, either repair your Product or replace it with a Carl Zeiss product of comparable specifications and value.
Additionally Zeiss offers A No-Fault Policy for CONQUEST HD, VICTORY SF, and VICTORY HT binoculars (for up to 5 years after purchase, and only valid if your product is registered within 60 days of purchase.)

First mid-level binoculars owned. Relative to the lower level and priced binoculars owned the quality of view is a significant improvement. JMHO, CA, resolution, illumination, and FOV improvements are worth the fold the 2-3x cost. 4 stars for now. AImost a 5th star. Test of time and use to earn the almost 5th star. BIf Zeiss would include an improved objective cover the "almost" 5th star might be a full 5th star. Replaced the OEM covers with some generic $12 covers that are functional. Include cover cap are difficult to insert into the cover housing. If not inserted properly they easily fall off. The objective cover housing is nice. If the cap inserting section was at least twice the height it might be a functional cap.
