Added features include a locking diopter control, hydrophobic coatings on the external lens surfaces, and a shorter close focus (6.6'). Optically, dielectric and phase-correction prism coatings and fully multi-coated ED glass lenses deliver a sharp, bright image. The M7 8x30 weighs only 16.4 ounces even with its shock resistant rubber armoring. They are waterproof to 3.3' for 10 minutes and nitrogen purged to be fog free.
