The Nikon Prostaff P7 8x30 Binoculars are an improved version of the Prostaff 7S 8x30. In the P7, Nikon has added water- and oil-repellent coatings on the outer lenses which makes them easier to clean, a locking diopter control that prevents your diopter setting from drifting, and they've added multi-layer dielectric coatings to the prisms, which increases light transmission for brighter images.
As with all Prostaff P7 models, the 8x30s are waterproof to 1m and nitrogen purged. They weigh a mere 17.1 ounces. Field of view is a very wide 456' at 1000 yards and close focus is 8.2'.
