The TACP Infrared Flat Top Beacon is a high intensity infrared beacon designed for long distance signaling during Close Air Support (Night CAS) operations. Powered by six 9-Volt lithium or alkaline batteries providing 200+ hours of continuous operation, the TACP beacon can be seen by aircraft at distances up to twenty nautical miles. The TACP also includes a battery saver function that allows the beacon to be powered by a single 9 volt battery in situations where battery supplies are limited. The TACP can easily be switched ON or OFF via a single switch on the top of the beacon. A visible low-intensity, miniature indicator light flashes during operation to confirm the beacon is on for persons without night vision equipment. An additional built-in light sensor automatically deactivates the unit to save power during daylight conditions. 9-volt PP3 Battery Box sold seperately. PLEASE NOTE: SALES RESTRICTED LAW ENFORCEMENT AND GOVERNMENT ONLY Warning: Requires State Department License for export.
