Gitzo Mountaineer Series 2 4-Section Long Carbon Fiber Tripod. "Long" refers to longer section tubes that let these tripods reach eye level when fully extended. Vibration dampening is better than earlier models thanks to larger diameter lower leg sections. The top spider has been redesigned to add rigidity. The center column on the tripod can be replaced with the Ground Level Set, for a minimum height of under 1'. An internal O-ring to prevent dust and particles from entering the leg system, and large leg angle selectors give you more area to grip when adjusting leg angles. A ballast hook on the center column allows you to add weight to increase the tripod's stability.
