The extra magnification results in a smaller field of view of 261' at 1000 yards. The Alpine HD 12x52's optics are based on Leupold's Advanced Optical System which is designed for enhanced light transmission, clarity, and glare reduction. The rubber armored magnesium chassis keeps its weight down to 32 ounces and is waterproof and nitrogen purged.
