The Vortex Summit Carbon II Tripod Kit is your best Vortex choice for birding or other nature observations. It has 4-section rubber-tipped legs with twist collar leg locks that only take 1/4 of a turn to lock or unlock. The included pan head uses single handle control for pitch and pan movements and has an Arca Swiss mount socket and plate. At 2.5 pounds and a folded length of 18.1 inches, it is designed for back country use. Minimum height is 6.3" and maximum height is 53.3'. .
