The Vortex Viper HD 8x42 Binoculars have been revamped for 2018 with a few great improvements while keeping all the great features that the old Viper HD line had. Perhaps the biggest improvement is the 409' field of view at 1000 yards, delivering a much wider image than the 347' field of view from the previous 8x42 model. An improved Premium HD lens system heightens image quality by increasing brightness, sharpness and contrast. This Viper HD now has a magnificent 6.5' close focus, bringing subjects into focus that are right in front of you. The XR coating from the old line was kept to maintain the excellent light transmission makes this binocular excel in low light conditions. The old ArmorTek coating remains on the new Viper HDs to keep the lens surfaces free of scratches, debris and oil. These fantastic features are protected by a rugged, rubber armored housing that is ergonomic and styled with the classic Vortex green.
Vortex offers VIP warranty which stands for a Very Important Promise to you, our customer. Optics are meant to be used outside - often times in the harshest environments imaginable. Couple that fact with "life" happening, and there's a lot that can impact your prized optical instruments. One thing is certain - from cliff drops to camp destroying brown bears and house fires to hurricanes, Vortex will repair or replace your product in the event it becomes damaged or defectiveat no charge to you. If Vortex cannot repair your product, they will replace it with a product in perfect working order of equal or better physical condition. The VIP warranty does not cover loss, theft or deliberate damage to the product.
