The Vortex Strap connector for Harness Straps are the safest way to attach your harness strap to your binoculars. Each is a short piece of fabric-reinforced rubber with a hole in each end and a split key ring. Slide the strap connector through the binocular strap lug, thread the split key ring through both holes, and snap the clip from the harness to the ring. Many manufacturers, including Vortex, have recently made the strap loops on their binoculars narrower and/or more shallow. The new design can be trimmed with a sharp scissors if necessary so the straps slide easily in the loops. This prevents the strap lugs from excessive wear caused by the key rings and is more durable than plastic zip ties. If you use different binoculars for different occasions, get a pair for each binocular and switch your harness between binoculars easily. Two per set.

I have used these the last few years. I had the rang pull throught the strap recently and put a new one on. In less than 2 months it has also pulled through. I am looking for another way to attach the straps to my binaculars.
