Swarovski ATX and STX Spotting Scope Modules
In the ATX/STX spotting scope series, Swarovski introduces a radically new concept in spotting scope construction. Instead of scope bodies being angled or straight with plug-in eyepieces, the prism and eyepiece are now combined into a single unit called an ocular module. To make a complete spotting scope, you mate an objective module with the ocular module. This allows you to get the modules you need and mix and match the eyepiece/prism (ocular) modules and objective modules in the field so you have the complete scope that best fits your task at any given time. For example, you could buy an angled (ATX) ocular module, a 95mm objective module for stationary scoping, and a 65mm objective module for long hikes or close-up photography.
